Getting Photo Ready

Tips For Preparing the Property:

Before the Shoot:

  • Be sure to have the home cleaned and staged to your liking

  • Realtors should confirm the state of the property prior to the appointment

  • Turn on all lights

  • Open curtains/blinds

  • Turn off fans

  • Turn off electronics such as TVs and computer screens

  • Remove dishes from the sink

  • Declutter and wipe down countertops

  • Remove any magnets or other items from the exterior of your fridge

  • Clean mirrors and windows

  • Stow away any visible hygiene products from the bathroom

  • Lower toilet seats

  • Hide trash cans

  • Move cars from the driveway

  • Remove any flags or banners from the exterior of the property

  • Hide trash bins

During the Shoot:

  • Do not schedule other workers to be in the home during the shoot

  • Do not host any events at the home during the shoot

  • Try to keep the number of people at the home as minimal as possible

Key Tips:

  • Details matter

  • We recommend that realtors do a walk-through of the home prior to the appointment to ensure that everything is prepared and cleaned properly.

  • Remove as much clutter/unnecessary items from each room as you can. This ensures that items inside the home are not taking attention away from the house itself.

  • Staging and landscaping are recommended as well as professional cleaning services if possible.
